Hipot current calibration load resistors
The 5320A-LOAD High Voltage Load Adapter is an accessory to the Fluke 5320A Multifunction Electrical Tester Calibrator and the 5080A High Compliance Multi-Product Calibrator with MegOhm option. It loads a hipot tester to create the leakage current needed to perform hipot tester calibration. It can be used standalone with a digital multimeter and high voltage probe, or with the 5320A built-in multimeter and high voltage probe provided with the 5320A.
The 5320A-LOAD consists of a series of eight power-rated resistors configured to provide eight resistance taps from 10 kΩ to 5 MΩ.
Because of the high voltages created by hipot testers, the 5320A-LOAD is designed to withstand a maximum voltage from 1.2 kV to 5.5 kV, depending on the selected resistor. During the hipot calibration test, the digital multimeter and high voltage probe measures the actual test voltage and leakage current from the hipot tester. The 5320A has a built-in multimeter and comes with a high voltage probe for this purpose. The 5080A does not have a built-in multimeter, and does not come with a separate high voltage probe, so those pieces must be purchased separately.
The 5320A-LOAD comes standard with a traceable calibration certificate including verification data. An optional 17025 accredited calibration certificate is available for an extra charge.
The 8508A/CASE is a sturdy case available for transporting the 5320A-LOAD.
The design of the 5320A-LOAD allows it to be placed on top of or under the calibrator for convenient operation and a small footprint.
