New water treatment plant

Clinton S.

Product(s) used: 9170

I'm not sure where to begin. I have been performing a large variety of calibrations of instruments and control systems throughout Alaska for about 20 years. I currently own an Accredited Laboratory, which uses the Fluke 5522A and 5520A for the primary electrical source. I have used Fluke field calibrators and multimeters in a variety of jobs, such as performing Power Plant Start-up projects, Oil Rig control systems, Water and Sewer Start-up projects.

Maybe my favorite job though, was showing up in Point Hope Alaska to start-up their new water treatment plant. Among other things, I was going to calibrate a bunch of thermometers. I arrived with my Fluke 9170 Metrology Well. While unpacking my gear, one of the locals asked what the Metrology Well is used for. After I was done explaining thermometer calibrations, he responded with a story about a salesman trying to sell refrigerators to Eskimos.
