A Section 179 deduction may help you afford new calibration equipment

Section 179 was enacted to help small businesses afford capital equipment purchases, like Fluke Calibration equipment. The 2017 tax code could allow you to deduct the full purchase price when equipment is purchased and installed by end of the day on December 31, 2017. It pays to do your research and make sure that your company takes advantage of this opportunity. With the deduction, a new calibrator might be less expensive than you thought.

Businesses who spend up to $2 million in new or used business equipment during 2017 may qualify. The current 2017 tax allowance is up to $500,000 in the aggregate for all purchases. Instead of depreciating equipment over a few years, Section 179 lets you decide to write off or depreciate the entire equipment purchase this year.

Talk to your tax advisor to confirm your benefits and contact a Fluke Calibration sales rep for a price quotation.

Section 179 can change without notice so act now to claim this benefit.
